Alice Cooper : Billion Dollar Babies A1/B2

For this auction I am selling a number of progressive/heavy rock records that have been so well preserved down the years and many of them hardly played.  I am moving house soon so want to 'shift' a lot of my stock quickly so unfortunately do not have the time to describe each track in detail as I generally do.  However, I will still play every track in full so as to provide a 'complete' grading.

This first pressing plays with stunning quality on both sides with no clicks or pops and only a few seconds of very light static and a handful of mega light ticks - you hardly notice either they are so quiet!  The clarity, power and definition off the audio is exceptional and you would be hard pressed to find a better version.

The cover is excellent condition with only minimal wear but is missing the trading cards on the inside.  The dollar bill is still included though and in perfect condition.  The lyric inner is also in great condition.

Visual grading

The vinyl is in superb condition and still has a lovely glossy sheen with no marks or scratches.  I can only find a small number of faint hairlines and the labels only have a minimal amount of spindle wear.

Play Grading

'Hello Hooray' plays with wonderful clarity and power from start to finish with only one very light static during the quiet section.  The sonic quality is superb across the entire side and the other tracks 'Raped And Freezin', 'Elected', 'Billion Dollar Babies' and 'Unfinished Sweet' all play 'as new' with no intrusion at all.  The playback is exceptional with no ticks, clicks or pops and no background static either, there are no negatives.

S2 begins with an immaculate version of 'No More Mister Nice Guy' that plays with no interference at all.  'Generation Landslide' is of the same standard and the remaining tracks all play with sublime quality also.  Only 'Mary-Ann' has a handful of very light static ticks at the start and 'I Love The Dead' some dust ticks on the intro.  So quiet and certainly not intrusive.  This is another Alice Cooper album that has been so well preserved down the years.

The Cover & Lyric/Picture Inner

The embossed cover is in excellent condition with only minimal wear.  The edges are very clean with only a little rubbing on the bottom edge of the front cover.  The spine has a little wear on the corners also.  The front and back cover are unmarked and the 'dollar bill' is still firmly attached on the inside.  The only issue with the inside is that the trading cards have been punched out and are no longer with the album unfortunately.  The lyric inner is in superb condition with only a couple of tiny 'spots' and a minor amount of barely visible fading on a couple of small areas next to the edges.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable // B & W 684 Speakers

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
