Description
Alice Cooper - Love It To Death
Be sure to see all of the other albums I currently have up for sale!
Rare 1971 1st US pressing, with the uncensored front cover photo of Alice sticking his thumb through his pants to create the illusion of a penis!
Furthermore, this copy does NOT feature the blurb on the front about it including the hit single "I'm Eighteen," which appears on repressings.
Featuring the Straight label as opposed to the Warner Bros. label (although Warner Bros. distributed Straight and their logo appears on the jacket). Repressings feature one of many Warner Bros. labels (green, palm tree/Burbank, white, etc.).
Disc Grade: G+ There are numerous light scratches and hairlines, but nothing deep. There is surface noise throughout, but it never overpowers the music, which still packs quite a punch. There are no skips or repeating grooves. The Side 1 label does have a name (see photo).
Jacket Grade: G The front and back show ringwear, which is almost a guarantee with this album, regardless of the pressing. There are two splits on the bottom seam: a 3.5" split in the center and a 2" split at the opening. There is a 2" split inside the gatefold. The entire right seam of the front gatefold flap is split (giving the illusion of a two-pocket gatefold found on a double album - see photo #5).
The disc will be cleaned using the Spin-Clean Record Washer and placed in a new, acid-free inner sleeve. The jacket will be placed in a protective outer sleeve. The disc will be packed outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits from forming during transit.
