INCREDIBLE RECORD and arguably his last great album. I saw the band on tour when they were promoting this master work and I've never quite got over it. Produced by Bob Ezrin, the first thing you notice is that it resembles a rock opera but there's none of that self indulgent tosh normally associated with such ambitious projects. The story is themed, to a point, and the lyrics are truly mindblowing and scary. The title track sets the scene well enough but things really swing into overdrive with track three, 'The Black Widow', courtesy of a spooky spoken word guest spot by Vincent Price that'll have the hairs on the back of your neck standing on edge. Side one finishes of with the controversial hit single 'Only Women Bleed'. Flip it over and you've got the demented 'Department Of Youth', 'Cold Ethyl' and the brilliant yet truly bizarre, 'Steven' - weird, wacky and marginally insane.
Of course, you've got Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner on guitars alongside a bevy of other great sessions players - Alice had ditched the original band by this point - helping to great, in my opinion, his last truly subversive album.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. One or two faint spindle marks on label but virtually no other signs of use. Grades as MINT-!
Cover: Again no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed fully laminated cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and totally uncrushed. Impossible to find like this after 42 years. Grades as shop fresh MINT-!
