THE ALLAN GANLEY QUARTET FEATURING JOE HARRIOTT: 'GONE GANLEY' RARE 1958 EP ON PYE NIXA NJE 1046.
Lineup on the session is Joe Harriott- alto, Allan Ganley - drums, Stan Jones - Piano, Sammy Stokes - Bass. Tracks are: 1. I feel a song coming on, 2. Margona, 3. Mean to me and 4. Stewpot.
Record is in excellent condition and on visual inspection (record player out of action!) looks as if it's hardly ever been played. There are some light scratches to the surface but they look like 'paper scratches' from the cover. Cover also in very good condition, no more than very light wear which is impressive for its vintage!.
An interesting and unusual set which doesn't appear on most listings; for rarity completists please note that the recording was handled by a fledgeling Joe Meek!
