Alma Cogan's debut album was released in 1958, four years into her career, at a time when her fame was at an all time high. It is devoted, for the most part, to the same novelty-style numbers that had already brought her so much success, a mood that conductor Frank Cordell effortlessly mirrors with his playful, show tune jazz arrangements. From the rollicking title track, through a lovely rendition of "Taking a Chance on Love," and on through standards "Cheek to Cheek" and "As Time Goes By," I Love to Sing is lighthearted entertainment at its very best, with Cogan's trademark laugh never far from the surface. "Ain't We Got Fun" is irresistibly buoyant and, though the album does have its quieter moments, when she sings "Today I Love Ev'rybody," you can believe she means every word of it.

This is the original UK pressing in very nice condition! It has a fully laminated sleeve with rear flipbacks. It comes complete with a polythene-lined company inner sleeve - which is in great condition also. The record has gold HMV labels with 1st press -1N/ -1N matrix stampers.

A very rare UK pop/ rock n roll LP. Very scarce to find in this great condition!

Sleeve: Very minor wear to corner-tips & rubbing wear to the sleeve opening. There is a very tiny 1/2" tear to the upper front sleeve opening also, otherwise excellent condition This sleeve is very flimsy & prone to wear, however an LP and sleeve in this condition are extremely hard to find in this beautiful condition. 

Vinyl: Mint ! No visible spindle marks and this LP would sound excellent if plyed. The labels are nice & clean & show absolutely no wear at all !
