ALP 1286/7 BEETHOVEN CHORAL FURTWANGLER 9th RED/GOLD 1st 2 x England HMV MONO

England pressed EMI HMV Records two separate mono LP set, ALP 1286/7.
Earliest red and gold semi-circle label issues.
An imperfect set, so please read description carefully.
Visually vinyl is still very glossy and bright and there is not excessive spindle activity to the labels. Close inspection reveals some minor hairlines and one or two small scuff marks plus one very short scratch mark to side two.
Side one is a little ticky but this is not continuous throughout and the surfaces are otherwise underlyingly quiet beneath with many clear patches. Side two is similar but the mentioned short scratch causes approx. ten consecutive mid-level ticks plus a very few other isolated soft to mid-level ticks.
Sides three and four are still a little ticky but much less frequently so.
Labels are clean and unmarked with just traces of mustiness and storage spotting.
The inner sleeves are replacements.
Fully laminated external sleeves grade a solid VG. Generally very clean and bright still but not given a higher grade mainly due to some mustiness and evidence of storage tanning marks to the inner of the sleeves. This does not affect the external appearance of the sleeves bar some absolutely maginal peripheral tanning to the second sleeve. Otherwise the sleeves are in pretty good shape. Main panels are free of loss, stickers, pen etc. and the front panels are glossy. The white rear panels are clean and not age toned or browned. Laminate is fully intact with just a couple of minor areas of edge peel. All backflaps are clean and undamaged. A tiny closed tear to the bottom of the entry side at front panel, sleeve one. One or two pinch line creases leading in from spine areas, else spine, seams and entry sides are all clean and tidy bar just asmall chip of surface loss to centre of one spine area.
