Description
As follows:
HMV ALP 1286/87.
Original Red Gold Nipper Pressings, Made in England.
Gatefold Sleeve.
Condition Vinyl: VG+/VG (ALP 1286).
Condition Vinyl: EX/EX (ALP 1287).
Some light hairlines to both lps, Record 2 plays with more crackle and isolated pops, and features several surface marks.
There is also what appears to be bag rash on the second half of Side 2, it could not be removed with deionised water, but may be removed with some Alcohol. There are several prolonged passages of crackle which seem to correspond with the rash, so a professional deep clean is recommended. No skips or jumps on my system.
Condition Sleeve: GOOD (ALP 1286).
Condition Sleeve: EX (ALP 1286).
Sleeve for ALP 1286 has repair to both flipbacks, and a small section of lower flipback missing.
Also laminate peel focused around the opening edge (front and rear of sleeve).
An acceptable copy of this highly collectable recording, but by no means an audiophile experience, please bear this in mind before considering placing a bid.
RECORD GRADING.
All lps are initially visually graded under strong 100W light.Any blemishes or marks then vinyl is subsequently play graded for any audible faults.
I check all records on turntable for flatness/any warping.
RRPG Grading used for all records, conservatively (vinyl and sleeves).
