Description
Label: HMV (1st RED / GOLD)
Cat No: ALP1286-7 (2 RECORD)
Soloist: FURTWANGLER / SCHWARTZKOPF
Title: BEETHOVEN CHORAL SYMPHONY
Covers: Generaly much better than others of these I've seen
ALP1286-Good-somewhat worn with two tears on front cover only (see picture) - have not tried to repair. This cover is different in manufacture and is made by 'Mardons'. Much thinner cardboard (similar to early Decca)
ALP1287 - Very good++, made of much tougher cardboard EJ Day flipback cover. Slightly dirty to rear.
Clearly two different manufacturers were used to make the covers - both state "Made and Printed in Gt.Britain"
Original inners.
Text on the rear of the covers is consistent and is continued from ALP1286 to ALP 1287./ They were purchased at the same time.
Records: EXCELLENT (v.slght surface mark on ALP 1286- S2, not effecting play.)
Please note, I use 'Record Collector' grading system and in addition, always highlight any blemishes / defects as part of my descriptions.
Whilst not a business seller, I endeavour to maintain the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction, my feedback of 100% being of the upmost importance.
Postage prices are as follows:
1 LP Airmail to Europe £4.00 (excluding insurance & tracking)
1 LP, Rest of the World £6.50 (excluding insurance & tracking)
Shipping for multiple items (including double LPs) & box sets is priced by weight at auction end.
Please note: I strongly recommend buyer pays for tracking & insurance on top of these amounts on expensive items in excess of £41. Whilst I have not had an item damaged or lost to date, if they do happen I cannot accept responsibility if buyer refuses to purchase adequate cover.
