2nd PHASE
What does this mean?
The 1st phase was the implementation of the Bernardo’s Business Model as outlined below. The 2nd phase is as records are re-listed or new discs added. The records in this 2nd phase are grouped into two categories; rare, hard-to-find or new records bought in England or Germany in the ‘80s which are all from my personal collection or the 4,000+ titles that I must sell before I return to the EU later this year. These titles are discounted already but look for even steeper discounts especially for multi-record purchases.
The rare, hard-to-find and new records bought in England or Germany in the ‘80s will be re-priced based upon what it will take to get me to let them go. Many of the current rare listings will be reduced but there will be no further reductions. Most will have an option to “Make An Offer.” They will be either new listings or relisted for 90 days and then if unsold, they will be taken down and boxed for my return to the EU by the end of the year and subsequently sold at record shows primarily in Germany at higher prices than they will be offered on eBay. The not-so-rare titles after 90 days may be relisted again or sold to local dealers but they will not return to Europe with me.
The new general shipping policy is shipping within ONE BUSINESS DAY of confirmed Paypal payment and most are offered with a 14 DAY MONEY BACK RETURN GUARANTEE. Buy a minimum four records and get free USA domestic shipping or reduced international shipping.

“We can’t guarantee each record will be perfect, but we will get it as good as it can be when it is sent. These records can be up to 50 years old with unknown storage and handling but you can be assured that we can do wonders in saving old vinyl so that it can be enjoyed not endured!”
PLEASE NOTE: All records are visually inspected under a strong light and selected discs are played in order to come up with a meaningful evaluation. Every mark, mar, imperfection, scratch and countless other potential anomalies are not considered individually and certainly not singled out unless they are heard repeatedly in the play process, but rather lumped together in things such as “occasional light paper scratches” for example. If I can’t hear it on the playback, I obviously won’t comment on it.
I use a Music Hall 9.1, a Music Hall 5.1 or an AR “The Turntable” with either a Goldring Eroica MC, Goldring 2200 MM or a Denon A100 MC cartridge depending on the turntable. Please do not assume, as occasionally I get accused of, that I should have noted something in the listing which you might hear and I don’t. My stellar feedback speaks for itself and after selling close to 6,000 records since 1999, I will do my best to deliver to you the best product I can. These are used records and in many cases 20, 30 or 40+ years old with, unless I bought them new, an unknown history of cleaning, storage and playback equipment. I can’t guarantee that with your cartridge, turntable and set-up you won’t hear something I don’t but I can guarantee that I won’t send anything that is intentionally below my high standards.
I am dealing with hundreds of records a week these days so there are times when I might miss something. I usually catch anything I might have missed earlier when I do my final checks/plays of discs before they get boxed up. If I find something, I will e-mail the buyer with a solution but sometimes record issues do escape me. This is vinyl. Please don’t assume that I am trying to screw you over. Don’t write me hostile e-mails but rather send me an e-mail describing the situation. We will work something out. We are only dealing in records. Look at my feedback. I pride myself on honesty, integrity and fair play.
ALTONA – Altona (RCA, made in Germany, 1975)
This is part of what I call my ‘Eclectic” Series. Where else except at Bernardos would you find such a library of hard-to-find mid ‘60s to mid ‘70s gems? I have literally hundreds of groups that many music lovers have never heard of let alone heard since the big promotional money almost always went to the big groups with the big sales. I play every one of these days before I list them so my comments will be directed not only at the condition of the cover and vinyl but also about the music. I have an insatiable desire to add to my knowledge whether it is music, literature, history, and art that I drive myself to find something new. Most of my energy these days is directed at vinyl. When I am at a used shop, I am truly like a kid inside the candy jar! I guarantee that you will find things you like if you open up your ears past what you know. Of course these will be in the best quality that I can find. Most of the time, the discs are excellent even if the covers are stressed. You will find that I will add to this frequently so check back often!
This is one of the super finds of my recent record buying. It is a super German copy of a German band in the vein of Passport or Kraan with lots of saxes, vocals and drums, guitars and bass. ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! It is very, very hard-to-find and especially in this LIKE_NEW condition.
The cover is truly “like-new.” It is that thin German paperboard with the shiny “clarifoil” finish. The only issue is very, very slight ring wear if you didn’t look closely you’d miss because it is slight scuffing on the clarifoil not the cover!. I was totally impressed with its condition.
The vinyl is shiny with no issues I could see under a strong light OR HEAR when I played it. I am sure the disc has been played before I played it but it sounded so great that I can’t be sure. It is excellent no only the condition but the music.
If you love mid ‘70s jazz-rock fusion with guitars and sax then this is for you!
