Description
This is the 1980 double vinyl lp of the Alvin Lucier album called Music On A Long Thin Wire on Lovely Music/Vital Records #VR 1011/12 in stereo. The album includes the track Music On A Long Thin Wire. The records are in very good+ condition with one small surface scratch on side D that does not appear to effect the sound, the labels are clean and the gatefold cover is very good+ with some ring & edge wear. Overall in really great shape. Please ask questions before bidding.
Album Notes
Recording of an installation made on May 10, 1979 in the Rotunda of the US Customs House, Bowling Green, New York City. The wire was extended 80 feet through the oval of the Rotunda and was driven by one pure wave oscillator. The wire played itself: all changes in volume, timbre, harmonic structure, rhythmic and cyclic patterning, and other sonic phenomena. ~ "Blue" Gene Tyranny
