ALVIS WAYNE "Sleep, Rock-A-Roll Rock-A-Baby b/w Swing Bop Boogie" 1958 Original Australian Bell label Rock-A-Billy 45 release".
An Australian only release outside of the U.S.A.
Westport USA 1956 recordings.
Details as follows -
* Catalogue Number - Bell BS-151.
* Tracks: "Sleep, Rock-A-Roll Rock-A-Baby b/w Swing Bop Boogie".
Record Condition -
* Label: EX minus. White and red label with black printing, nice and clean with promo stamp and name on B side(see scan).
* Record: Very Good. Clean with scuffs and marks still plays great. Some background noise mostly at the very start until the music kicks in and takes over. Plays good, much better than it (the vinyl) looks.
* In summary: I've been collecting since the late sixties and this is only the third copy I've ever seen. If you don't know these tracks they are fantastic, what you'd call real music. Only in VG condition, but quite an acceptable copy! Very very RARE, and impossible to find. It is the first of two Alvis Wayne Australian releases, the other listed as by "Tony Wayne" a mistake by someone at Bell who was off with the fairies! was Bell BS169 "Don't Mean Maybe Baby b/w I'd Rather Be With You". This Australian Bell single is just as rare but the songs were also released in the U.K. on the Starlite label in the early sixties.
