AMAZING BUD POWELL VOL 1 BLUE NOTE 1503 “GAKUBUSHI’ FRAME LEX FLAT EDGE RVGe EAR VG+/EXC-***WITH NOVARRO ROLLINS HAYNES ROACH***

THIS IS ONE OF THE EARLIEST COPIES OF THE AMAZING BUD POWELL. IT HAS THE FOLDED “GAKUBUSHI” FRAME COVER (EARLIEST) AND 1 VISIBLE NOTCH ON THE BOTTOM COVER
A FLAT EDGE LP, LEXINGTON LABELS WITH DEEP GROOVE RVG ETCHED ON BOTH SIDES, THE EAR, THE "P" I’M SORRY THIS IS NOT IN BETTER CONDITION IF YOU KNOW YOUR EARLY BLUE NOTES, YOU REALIZE THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE EARLIEST PRESSINGS AND COVERS. THE SOUND, IN SPITE OF THE MARKINGS ON THE LP IS REALLY GREAT. COLLECTORS KNOW HOW GOOD THIS:

COVER:  VG+ “1503” in RED ink bottom left, tough to spot on dark cover. TOP 2 INCHES OF SPINE ARE SPLIT, BOTTOM ¼ INCH OF SPINE IS SPLIT, COLOR IS RUBBED OFF BOTTOM EDGE. THE COVER HAS A LISTING ON THE REAR THAT GOES UP TO LP 1504, AS IS TRUE OF THE FIRST PRESSING COVERS.  


Record Grading: SIDE 1: EXC- LIGHT NEEDLE MARKS AT 1, 3, 6, 9 AND 12 O’CLOCK SCRATCHES AT 3 AND 9 O’CLOCK ARE A BIT DEEPER SIDE2: EXC- LIGHT NEEDLE MARKS AT 1, 6, 9 and 12 O’Clock Side A / Side B: Only a few faint surface scratches thru Tracks, still clean, plays great.   Label: "767 LEXINGTON AVE nyc" No ® under E in NOTE. Deep Groove on both sides. Sticker on both sides. Writing on bSide 1. Matrix: "RVG" Hand Etched on both sides. Plastylite "P"/"ear" mark on both sides. Sleeve Grading: VG+ Front / Back: Some light age wear, scuffs.
