AMERICAN BLUES

DO THEIR THING

1968, UNI RECORDS, 73044, stereo

Although this late 60's band had two members of what would eventually become Z.Z. Top, the music on this record couldn't be more different.  Despite their name, there is really no trace of blues on this LP, it's psych music - sometimes with a hard edge, sometimes with a softer one.  I hear the influences of Ginger Baker's drumming, Hendrix and the early Airplane in their writing and playing.

There are a couple seconds of surface noise at the start of side one.  Other than that the record plays NM and it visually grades NM.  The labels, inner sleeve and cover, all have the previous owner's name written on them.  The labels are in otherwise good condition.  The outer jacket has a cut-out hole in it and grades in the VG to VG+ range.

NOTE: PLEASE READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION AND TERMS OF THIS AUCTION CAREFULLY.

I WILL GLADLY COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS ON MULTIPLE ORDERS.

Shipping: The record and jacket will be protected in a plastic sleeve and will be mailed in an LP mailer, with the record in its sleeve, removed from its jacket.

I have posted that the item will ship within four days of receipt of payment, but generally it is more like 1 - 2 days.  As per eBay policy, the shipping cost for this LP is listed as $4.  For that amount, I will ship within the United States using media mail or first class with mandatory delivery confirmation and insurance, whichever $4 will pay for.

At the end of the auction, however,  I will determine the overall best way to ship the LP (the postal service, UPS or FedEx).  I do not inflate shipping costs, however on records with winning bids of $50 and over I do insist on delivery confirmation and insurance.  International shipping will be calculated based on the winner's location.  Please note that for items shipping to other countries I may require, at the winner's expense, the highest level of delivery confirmation that country offers.  Please check with your country's postal service as this can be quite expensive in some cases.

Acceptable forms of payment: PayPal. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction’s end, or seller reserves the right to cancel transaction and offer the record to someone else.

Thanks for looking and good luck to all who bid
