Before ZZ TOP formed, all the members had already recorded and released records in Texas.  Billy Gibbons (Whom Jimi Hendrix proclaimed in Rolling Stone magazine as his favorite guitarist) had released two successful 45s on the Wand label in a band called The Moving Sidewalks and Dusty Hill and Frank Beard were in American Blues who released two LPs (one privately pressed and this LP).  While it was Hill’s and Beard’s work with ZZ Top that gained them fame and fortune, this LP (and the band) were very popular in Dallas as a club draw and as successful recording musicians.  This is an extremely nice copy except for two small tears where some goofball tried to remove a sales sticker. Ai-yi-yi.  With the sticker still on the cover, it would be more valuable today. Some folks just never learn.  STILL, this an insanely hard to find LP, especially one pressed on a major label.  Notice it’s the only copy currently listed on eBay. One additional note, another member of American Blues who released four solo LPs and had a major rep.
