AMON DÜÜL II Yeti (United Artists LBS 83 359/60 X) RARE German Krautrock 1st Pressing MINT-

Very RARE original German first pressing of "Yeti" by Amon Düül ll on United Artists Records (November 1970).

After the psychedelic folk jams on the debut "Phallus Dei", Amon Düül II`s second album "Yeti", was the Munich band`s full-on electric onslaught. The cover art (by Amon Düül bassist/keyboarder Falk Ulrich Rogner) depicts as the grim reaper an Amon Düül commune member who died of hypothermia while on LSD (!) - obviously, the band`s take on humour was as singular as their music was...

The London music magazine The Wire describes "Yeti" as "one of the cornerstones of both Amon Düül's career and the entire Krautrock movement", while that reference point of all things weird and wonderful, Julian Cope lists "Yeti" at third position in his "Top 50 Krautrock albums" ("Krautrocksampler", 1996). Need we say more?

GRADING:

MINT- COVER. Original laminated gatefold sleeve with two or three very minor creases to the spine. Also has very slight record imprints to the laminate, back and front. Please see photos for details.

MINT- RECORDS that look practically unplayed! Very slight and superficial hairlining in places is from sleeve removal only. This is as close as you`ll get to an "as new" copy in a long time!

The matrix stamps in the dead wax read "A-1"/"B-1" and "A-1"/"B-1", respectively. Clearly, the records are original German first pressings!

PLEASE NOTE: Over the next few months, we will regularly be offering a number of rarities, mainly progressive and avantgarde records: A very discerning, long-time collector friend left us his treasure chest! Not only are many of these lps extremely rare, they are almost all in MINT(-) condition - both inside and out.

As we slowly inch our way closer to spring, we will be spreading the goodies out, in no special order. Suffice to say that the best is still to come!
