AMY WINEHOUSE - BACK TO BLACK - Universal Records 2007
Original, 2007 first press UK LP.  This LP is becomingly increasingly hard to find and will no doubt become a mega-rarity of the future and is an ideal investment, as following Amy's untimely death the value of all things connected to her have shot up.
Original, UK copies of this disc are scarce due to the fact that back in 2007 the market for vinyl in the UK was at it's lowest point ever.  HMV and Virgin were scaling back their vinyl stocks and scrapping vinyl all together in many of their stores, virtually all music was bought on CD or download, it wasn't until record store day was launched the following year in the UK that vinyl began to have any sort of mainstream resurgence (to the extent that many HMVs have recently started stocking vinyl again and sales and pressings are on the up).  Against this background vinyl pressings in the UK were made in surprisingly small quantities, often only a few hundred to a couple of thousand copies at most.  Added to the fact that at the time of release Amy Winehouse, whilst a respected artist, was not yet the global superstar she would become, this disc was most likely pressed in quantities towards the lower end of the estimate.
This is a very rare FIRST PRESSING with;  1) the original sleeve, not the later close up picture 3) The Brit Awards 2007 sticker, only on original pressings 4) original lyric inner sleeve
In addition there exist several poor quality bootlegs, some on coloured vinyl etc - this copy was pressed on the finest 180g vinyl and will no doubt sound SUPERB on a decent stereo, surpassing any later vinyl, CD or downloaded copy.
These will only become more and more sought after as the definitive album by an all time great artist.
The disc is MINT UNPLAYED.
The sleeve is NEAR MINT but please see the second picture there is a tiny bit of splitting to the spine.
