AN EVENING WITH WILD MAN FISCHER
Reprise RSLP 6332 Stereo
Original 1969 UK first pressing on Reprise Records.
A rare record from Wild Man Fischer produced by Fank Zappa. A lavish gate fold release rarefor such an odd album. Features various members of the Mother of Invention and a couple of guitar tracks featuring FZ. A lot of funny tracks on this record - really one of a kind.
These albums usually turn up in very poor condition.This one is an exception. The sleeve has some wear but very presentable and the vinyl is fantastic.
Vinyl: EX Perfectly flat with just a few light paper scuff marks and just pressed sheen really pristine - so rare like this.
Plays well with some surface noise in the quiet passages - no jumps or skips.
Labels: Ex condition. Side one has a few small bubbles under the label - not detrimental to overall appearance. All colours strong with no fading. The labels have had the words 'Distributed by Pye Records' overprinted with a black bar ( see photos below ). There was a change of distributor prior to release probably to WEA or Polydor as this is a UK release. This indicates a first pressing.
Sleeve Gatefold in VG condition. No tears or splits. Sleeve has some rubbing to corners and edges and rubbing to spine (see photos below) - Some light feathering of opening edges. Some of the text on the spine is illegible. Colours are strong with no fading and sleeve is flat. A few light creases to spine. These unlaminated sleeves are always prone to wear however this example is well above avarage.
A rare and excellent record which I have owned from new.
