Description

Fascinating and RARE STEREO copy of Meredith Willson and his wife, Rini, telling the story of how he created his classic musical THE MUSIC MAN and presented it to Kermit Bloomgarden, who produced the show on Broadway.  This recording is supposed to be a recreation of the various nights that the Willson's spent auditioning the show and all the now-beloved songs, which are all here in one form or another-in their NYC apartment for Bloomgarden, his people and their friends.  As far as I know this recording has never been excerpted ANYWHERE since it was released over 50 years ago (not even on the CD that Capitol issued of the MUSIC MAN OST album) and I have never seen another copy of this anywhere, not even in mono, in ANY condition (Yes-I also looked here on ebay-did not see one).
