Description

For the record…

Various Artists-And We Call It Spirit, Barb, 7302, Early 1970s.

Rare Canadian-only independent label school band LP featuring The Norfolk Avenue Singers, The Lovin’ Roomfull, The “Jug-A-Lugs,” The Half Fast Jazz Band, and Toot Sweet. There is a special feeling across this album and a hippie vibe. Prairie freaks and geeks on display w/ their recorders, melodicas, guitars, washboards, 1-string tub bass, assorted horns, and young voices. Off-the-grid as they come. Ultimate recommendation.

Original CDN pressing

Cover: VG++/M- (light patina, an excellent sleeve overall)

Vinyl: VG+ (surface and grit marks, plays w/ light surface noise in places and light pops, still enjoyable)
