Description

"One Night Stand" radio show transcription disc produced by The Armed Forces Radio & Television Service.  Two Complete 30 minute radio programs on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc.  This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!

Each program includes two separate 15 minute band remotes complete with opening and closing announcements.  The date of November 22, 1957 is on the first side of the disc

“One Night Stand” radio program #4436: Larry Green & His Orchestra From The Starlight Roof of The Hotel Chase in St. Louis.  Songs include “Small Hotel / All The Things You Are / Rose Room”, “To Each His Own / Body And Soul / Mood Indigo”, “Tis’ Wonderful / In The Still Of The Night”.  

Freddy Martin & His Orchestra from The Coconut Grove at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.  Songs include “Fine And Dandy”, “Love Letters In The Sand” vocal Johnny Cochran, “It’s Good To Be Alive” vocal The Martin Men, “Mangos”, “Around The World” vocal Ralph Anthony (song cut off by closing announcement)  30 minutes

“One Night Stand” radio program #4437: Andre Previn Trio From The London House in Chicago, IL.  Songs include “Let’s Get Away From It All”, “Walkin”

Lawrence Welk & His Orchestra From The Aragon Ballroom.  Songs include “Red Petticoat”, “Love Letters In The Sand” vocal Alice Lon, “Fit As A Fiddle” vocal Bob Ledo, “Swinging Sweethearts”, “Write Me From Naples” vocal Dick Dale, “Sweet Lorraine” featuring Pete Fountain (song cut off by closing announcement).  30 minutes

Disc is in Excellent-- Condition with Excellent Sound, Beautiful Disc with Beautiful sound.  

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   I will make a CD dub of the disc for the buyer only
