Description
ANDREAS THOMOPOULOS, BORN OUT OF THE TEARS OF THE SUN, ORIG 1971 UK MUSHROOM LP
Andreas Thomopoulos – Born Out Of The Tears Of The Sun (12” LP)This is a great underground acid folk LP by Greek singer/songwriter Andreas Thomopoulos, who lived in UK for many years. Recorded at Chalk Farm and released in 1971 by Mushroom. This is his second album, more acid, sensitive and enigmatic than his first singer/songwriter approach called "Songs Of The Street". Andreas accompanies his melancholic voice with guitars, piano, bouzouki, kalimba and harmonica while his colleagues, from the same label, Second Hand (Ken Elliot, George Hart and Kieran O'Connor) help on organ, bass, violin and drums.
Side One: So Long Susanne; John The Little Monkey; The Stranger; A Friend's Song.
Side Two: Certain Men; False Eyelashes; This Weight; The Present.
The album is on Mushroom Records, 200 MR 4. Matrix side one: 200 MR 4A-2E (stamped). Matrix side two: 200MR 4B-1E (stamped).
Released in 1971. UK pressing. Stereo.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent
(has the odd very light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (fully laminated): very good (laminate lift around the edges worst on spine edge, the odd laminate crease, light rubbing front and back).
Comes with the original insert in very good condition - creasing bottom left
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy on return of the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. 1710 (GS 9.9.1 (1710))
