VERY RARE, OBSCURE 50'S ROCKABILLY DOO WOP SINGLE

 HERE IS THE RARE ORIGINAL 1958 issue of "Teenage Martha" b/w "My Love, My Love" by ANDY WILSON on the BULLSEYE 45 rpm label, #1012. This record rocks with a Rockabilly. LITTLE RICHARD type bassline, and the vocals are strongly Doo Wop influenced. FANTASTIC sounding single! IMPOSSIBLE to find in this NM(-) condition.  

TOP 40 INFO:  

Released IN 1958, it doesn't show up on the top 40 charts. Possible over number 40. I don't even remember buying this, but it's in my collection, so now it's yours if you win. It rocks and sure had hit potential.

CONDITION OF RECORD & TEST PLAY RESULTS

We always grade our records conservatively using Goldmine as a guide, and we try to go a bit lower for a margin of safety. Thus, a record in factory condition is lowered from Mint to a NOS M-, and a used, NM record will be lowered to a VG++ or NM-. Many of our customers are pleasantly surprised to find that they purchased a much higher grade record! WE TEST PLAY OUR RECORDS AND OFFER AN MP3 FILE SO THAT YOU CAN HEAR THE ACTUAL QUALITY BEFORE YOU BID AND BUY.

RESULTS OF GRADING FOR THIS ITEM

Playing Surface, visual: BOTH SIDES - NM(-) - Beautiful mirror shine. Some very faint sleeve scuffs, but no major scratches that you can see or hear on play. Maybe some minor wear, but none is audible in test play (see below).   

Labels: BOTH SIDES - Beautiful, bright embosseed silver BULLSEYE lettering logo on black background. No Ring wear or writing on labels (you can't write on this anyway .. it's a laminated surface).    

RECORD SLEEVE: Ships in plain white stock sleeve.        

TEST PLAY: Record plays great with no background noise. No scratches, does NOT skip and is not warped. A crisp, clear NM play! Clear and punchy sound. Both sides were played ONCE on a HIGH QUALITY Acoustic Research Turntable and V15, LIGHT tracking Shure magnetic cartridge. REMINDER: AN MP3 SAMPLE is also available to you via e-mail to verify vinyl condition before you bid, and we will gladly send this to you upon request. Please e-mail us with questions and requests.
