1971 UK TOPIC MONO 12T.207
407.A-1A
407.B-1A
Here is a stunning 1971 uk mono first issue of this beautiful, timeless folk gem by Anne Briggs. This is one of the holy-grails for collectors of very rare uk folk/Folk-Rock & Acid-Folk records. This 1971 debut album by Anne Briggs is highly sought after and collectable for the right reasons, firstly, the album is extremely rare and is getting pretty much impossible to find in top condition, and secondly, it's musical content is brilliant throughout. This amazing original first pressing is in immaculate NEAR MINT condition and has only ever had just two or three very careful plays on a decent turntable since new. So here is a very rare opportunity to secure a top copy of this beautiful 'Anne Briggs' folk album in top condition.
THIS ALBUM WILL BE VERY WELL PACKED AND SENT BY RECORDED POST ONLY. UK FIRST CLASS RECORDED POSTAGE IS FREE. EUROPE INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR WILL BE £8, THE REST OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR WILL BE £11.
1ST PRESS MONO VINYL = NM
The first press thick mono vinyl is in stunning MINT- ultra-clean condition and looks just about perfect, both sides still have their original deep glossy sheen, there are no bad surface marks, scuffs or scratches at all, there are only a few ultra-light sleeve withdrawal hairlines/traces that are mainly only visible in stronger light. I listened to the album right through before listing it and both sides play and sound superb, there really are no bad surface marks at all so there are no areas with repeated clicks or pops or annoying loud crackle, both sides only play with the tiniest amount of very light behind the music static crackle. This album has only ever had just two or three very careful plays on a decent turntable since new, so there is no lessoning in the sound quality at all. You will not find this very rare mono vinyl in better condition than this, it's a truely stunning copy that will not disappoint and will not need upgrading.
MONO TOPIC LABELS = NM
The blue/silver mono topic labels are in very near perfect condition, both are nice and clean with barely any signs at all that the record has been played.
ROBERT STACE FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE = NM
The front laminated single sleeve was made and printed in the uk by 'Robert Stace'. This cover is in brilliant clean and tidy condition and looks as good as new. The front lamination has a superb high gloss finish, there are no lines or creases or marks at all, the matt back is very clean with no wear or creases. The top and bottom edges are in really excellent shape with no wear and the opening edge is still nice and straight and crisp, the spine is also free of wear and all text is bold and clear and easy to read. This cover is just about perfect with no flaws at all.
The original white paper inner sleeve is in excellent very clean condition with no splits, the album has been kept inside a more vinyl friendly white poly-lined inner sleeve for many years, both inner sleeves will be sent with the album.
