*** ULTRA-RARE BRITISH COPY OF CLASSIC FRENCH FOLK-PSYCH ARTEFACT! ***
Mono UK LP, Disques Vogue VRLS 3036, 1968
This copy came direct from a record company archive where the LP had been stored untouched for forty years!! Extremely rare original Disques Vogue label 1st edition UK stereo pressing 11-track vinyl LP housed in superb Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flip-back cover. This is the fabulous third LP by Antoine, a contemporary of the legendary Jacques Dutronc.
By 1968, Antoine was still embellishing his Dylan/Donovan role as singer/harmonica player with some rockier tracks - but now they erred towards psychedelic and/or folk rock rather than freakbeat or garage. That said, 'Tout Nu Devant Ta Glace' is a superb Mod dancer. (This is the same album issued in a bizarre comic strip cover in France with Antoine's name in flaming red letters.)
Amazingly, this is one of *three* self-titled Antoine albums issued in the mid-to-late Sixties in the UK. We also have one of the other titles for sale. Consideration given to best price for the pair...
Condition:
Vinyl = NEAR MINT (looks unplayed!!!).
Sleeve = EXCELLENT + (only marked down for a feint crease acrioss one corner and marginal wear along opening edge).
So rare to see a Sixties album of this vintage and quality in Mint/unplayed condition...
