Killer, afro tinged funk cum psychedelic rock oddity. Mood music for an unknown film soundtrack / TV show or radio programme. A fabulous double-sider licenced from cult UK Library label, Cavendish Music. The Apatchi Band was most probably a studio ghost group of Cavendish and Boosey & Hawkes Library session men. The strung-out fuzz of "Issmak" and Soho lounge heat of "Crashpad" originally appeared on First Collaboration - Cavendish Series No 8. Expect jungle percussion and bboy drum breaks, jazz horns and oriental flute in this quintessentially English melting pot of rhythm and sound. Great for DJs! Really nice to have on 7inch format ;) Disc cut loud with big production sound. The exotic "Issmak" was comped by Bill Brewster for his Tribal Rites selection on Eskimo label. Original 4-prong centre intact
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ (closer to M-) regardless of a couple of audible soft pops to sideA / some faint hairlines from storage / some faint old pressing blemishes / disc cut loud with big production sound / some natural light background noises / original 4-prong centre intact
SLEEVE - not graded - generic white card sleeve has light wear
LABEL - bright looking with some common wear to parts of the 4-prong centre and spindle / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)
