This is the INSANELY rare Aphex Twin LP 'Selected Ambient Works VOL. II' Released through Warp Records in 1994, vinyl copies of this masterpiece were absurdly limited to begin with. Carrying on the AFX tendency towards mystique, the song titles are denoted on the album artwork as pie charts (with the exception of Blue Calx. In my listing I have used the commonly used names given the pieces by fans. Largely doing without the squelchiness and beats which underpinned 'Ambient Works I,' 'II' is more akin to the far reaching ambient works of Brian Eno. Suffice to say that this music sounds SO much better on vinyl!

Warp pulled out all the stops when creating this triple LP set. Housed in a lovely matt gatefold sleeve with luxurious artwork spread over all four sides of the sleeve. The insert (included) is on glossy paper and contains some studio notes and annotations by Richard D James. The vinyl is lovingly pressed into BROWN wax, with each disc feeling heavy and of the highest quality. The labels are replications of the pie-chart artwork found on the inner gatefold. This is a BEAUTIFUL package and as near to NEW condition as you're going to get these days. Please check further down the listing for my explanation of a 'MINT' grading... I always aim to give the bidder the best picture of what they're buying! Thanks for looking and HAPPY BIDDING!

CONDITION OF VINYL: NEAR MINT - . All three discs are practically AS NEW. The vinyl has a STUNNING shine, and it slips out of the paper inners like a brand new purchase. I have every confidence that this triple LP seems completely UNPLAYED. The ONLY blemish detectable is a VERY light paper scuff on SIDE D. This is INCREDIBLY light and most sellers would certainly just grade this as MINT and not even mention such a thing. The labels are in BEAUTIFUL shape: I guaranteed YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED with this set. PLAYBACK is ASTONISHING... the music is much deeper and alive on vinyl Save for the odd normal static pop at the beginning of the sides (common on ALL new records!) the sound is PERFECT.

CONDITION OF SLEEVE: EXCELLENT +. The sleeve is almost comparable to the lovely condition of the vinyl. All four sides of the gatefold are AS NEW... no rips, tears, stains NOTHING. All the edges are great, with no creasing or wear. The opening is completely solid and stiff. There is some VERY small spots of white wear on the spine of the record, which are not very noticeable. This wear DOES NOT obscure any of the writing on the spine. THis is the ONLY factor in my grading this sleeve EXCELLENT + and not NEAR MINT. Please bare in mind that I offer a detailed description which includes the faults. Not many sellers do this these days!

I am an avid collector of many, many genres and keep my records in IMMACULATE condition. I grade according to the Record Collector Price Guide 'Ready Reckoner' and almost NEVER sell anything which is below EXCELLENT condition. Rest assured that my EXCELLENT is bloody EXCELLENT! Oh yeah and I NEVER GRADE ANYTHING MINT THAT IS NOT SEALED!! Near Mint is the highest grading I use for unsealed records.

All records will be sent within two days MAXIMUM of receipt of payment (usually within 4/5 hours of payment received). Your record will be expertly packed in a professional brown mailer, using one or two stiffeners and housed in a PVC 12" sleeve with the record in a paper inner placed outside the sleeve as is standard practice. I've always been lucky when buying records from ebay (save the odd occasion) and would like all buyers of my records to be 100% SATISFIED!
