EIGHT POEMS OF EMILY DICKINSON -
A Professor Johnson Pure Analogue Recording -
Reference Record RR-22 -
VERY FINE!
Another of the triumphant recordings of Keith Johnson at Reference Recordings.
That he is by far one of the most outstanding recordists on the planet shouldn't surprise anyone, as his work with Spectral electronics is renowned, his ear for natural sound beyond measure -- and every reason why he invented HDCD technology.
This great recording captures a read of the Copland masterwork, every nuance. The APPALACHIAN for thirteen instruments.
The added treat is the Emily Dickinson, not often performed, but wonderfully delivered by none other than Marni Nixon, whose voice is simply divine. (Try GOING TO HEAVEN on for size. Sheesh!)
A beautiful record, in a jacket that is crisp, without fault. Inside, is the Reference heavy platter in near-mint playing condition.
Very well kept, and worthy of the finest music lover / audiophile library.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
