We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. MINT! ...Original 1974 first pressing of one of the great early '70s doom rockers filled with catchy appeal...IN FOR THE KILL delivers great music on this very underrated album from an extremely underrated and underpublicized band that blends beautiful ballads with mostly blazing rockers.

Budgie's fourth album sees the band continuing to be at the forefront of the early heavy rock scene. The power trio seem more confident than in previous outings, which makes the diverse range of styles they play an engaging listen. Running From My Soul is heavy rock, very reminiscent of Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused". While thunderous album closer Living On Your Own is a slower, doomier, Sabbath-inspired number. `In For the Kill' was a great follow-up to what many rock fans and critics consider to be Budgie's best album. Next to "Breadfan", "Zoom Club", which was `Kill's piece de résistance, could be the Welsh power trio's best song and is definitely captures the listeners attention with it's pulverizing catchiness. The song, built around a monster, plodding Tony Bourge guitar rift just builds and cascades to a thunderous conclusion! "Hammer and Tongs" is a longish blues number, definitely Sabbathesque and may have given Budgie the boost to the top of the Sabbath's popularity if only they had toured the USA before 1976 !

The album also includes an updated version of Crash Course in Brain Surgery, a track the group had previously released as a single - a pounding piece of proto-speed metal which particularly showcases the skills of Burke Shelley, the group's bassist and vocalist. Shelley's bass style for this album is harder and heavier than ever, at points reaching hypnotic intensities comparable to the sort of performances Lemmy was dishing out in Hawkwind at the time. On the whole, the album is further proof that Budgie do not deserve the comparative obscurity they've faded away into, but ought to join Sabbath in the early HEAVY ROCK pantheon.

CONDITION: The cover: MINT! pristine stiff and crisp all over ....it's a fantastic copy with 4 sharp corners, no bends, no writing, no split seams and fresh 'new' look even though it's nearing 40 years of age. Hard to find a better copy of this classic heavyrock crusher.... 

The vinyl: all clean and smooth M- looks and plays fantastic...a TOP copy for certain.
