ARED 7" 45 Private Boston Varulven Punk New Wave 1980

Up for bid is a 7" 45rpm single for the Boston MA band  "ARED" , issued in 1980 on the PRIVATE  Label " VARULVEN RECORDS". (Label headed by "Count Viglione" ) who also issued the infamous "Unnatural Axe" punk 45 on this label, and many others!  Side A contains the track "Space Traveler" , Side B has the track "Alone". Recorded in 1979 at Electro Acoustric Systems, Boston MA.  Difficult to describe the band's sound, Side A sounds like a mix of Buzzcocks, Motorhead and Tom Petty! ! Side B is a melodic guitar track sounding like a slow pace "Real Kids" song. Vinyl is in NM condition, no scratches, mars or scuffs, shiny clean. Also contains 4 1/2 X 5 1/2 inch blue cardboard promotional picture insert of the band "ARED", Front has picture of the band, (see pix) ,  back of front side has info stating" quote: "Viewing only the youth factor (average age 17) surrounding JARED, you may find that their music is far from being representative of any music category today! Their newest single, "Space Traveler" seems to be almost a parody of their musical attitude and direction." Distributed by : Varulven Records"  Tufts University, Medford Massachusetts. " *** Record is from my own personal collection.  Likely played only once or twice on a high end B&O turntable.*** Private Issued PS, (VG+)  Unique, with printed info in blue ink on back, some ring wear and creasing along top edge.  Front has a hand drawn band logo in blue ink, otherwise, plain white jacket, with some ring wear marks on the white paper, and a sticker residue mark in upper right corner. VERY LIMITED, Very Rare 45 from 1980,  likely distributed only to local radio stations and music press at the time (Private Issue).  Well taken care of over the years.  From my own personal local Boston collection.   ****** Records will be packed and shipped in professional heavy duty corrogated cardboard record mailers that I purchase to assure safety during shipping.
