Description
I have a large well-kept vinyl collection, having bought music in all formats since the mid-60s; I’m now selling some classic LP originals for other fans / collectors to enjoy them.
I’m a music fan, not a collector! I have this music on digital or CD format so don’t want to just store cherished records until they are of no value to others.
This is my original copy of ‘Argent’ on 12” vinyl LP (1969) - CBS Stereo serial number S 63781 (1969).
I bought many great albums upon release in the ‘vinyl era’ and stored them fastidiously on good shelving, playing them only on top-quality audio.
The LP is in *mint* condition. It contains one of my very favourite Argent pieces, ‘Dance in the Smoke’, with its’ shimmering keyboards, celebratory lyrics and measured, classy percussion. It’s all good stuff!
Argent were (and still are!) a great band, emerging from the fruitful chrysalis of The Zombies. Fine songs, prodigious musicianship from all the members, and a great live band - this debut Argent album indicated that they would be a lasting talent.
Any Rod Argent / Zombies / Russ Ballard fan will cherish this superb copy - there is virtually no wear or damage to any part of the gatefold sleeve.
The original period CBS inner sleeve showing the label's other contemporary rock albums is in excellent condition and the vinyl is pristine, undamaged.
I doubt that there is a better vinyl copy of this album anywhere, even if I say so myself - the buyer will not be disappointed!
You are welcome to inspect or hear the album at my home (I’m in Erdington, north Birmingham B24 - Jn. 6 of the M6). If posted, will be packaged securely and sent via recorded/insured post.
