Thanks for looking at my auction
I am selling my Dad's records which he collected from the early 1960s until CDs arrived in 1983. He bought them all new.
He originally owned 100's of them but he sold probably most of them to the record shop in Egham where he bought most of them in the first place.
None of these records have been played for over 30 years and so the vinyl has had no wear since then. Also, because he had so many 100's of records I don't believe any of them were played to death. He only used the finest equipment to listen to them: a Thorens turntable with an SME tone arm and Sure V15 cartridge. So they have never been abused by poor equipment.
After years of storage these records smell musty and there is some discolouration on the sleeves and covers. Please see the photos for yourself. Because I have been unable to play any of them, the records are sold as seen. But whilst taking the photos I could see that the vinyl appears to be in as excellent condition as I had expected them to be. My Dad was always particular about handling vinyl.
I'm now selling them off in manageable batches and there will be more to come so feel free to add me to your favourite sellers.
