Rare, out of print 2000 Classic records pressing of this legendary 1961 recording.  Remastered by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 200 gr. Quiex Supervinyl. In a heavy duty picture card sleeve (SR-52103).  The item is in brand new, factory sealed condition and has no visible damage or defects.

Recorded for Roulette on two consecutive days April 3 & 4, 1961 in New York, Ellington, Armstrong and four fellow musicians including Barney Bigard (cl), Trummy Young (tb), Mort Herbert (b) and Danny Barcelona (d) recorded a total of 17 tracks, enough for two albums. The companion album is entitled "Recording Together For The First Time" which was the first to be released in 1961, this one following in 1963.
