ARNETT COBB – MOVIN’ RIGHT ALONG – PRESTIGE 7216 – YELLOW & BLACK LABEL – M-/M- MONO
Recorded on February 17, 1960, this Van Gelder Prestige session featured Arnett Cobb on tenor, accompanied by Bobby Timmons and Tommy Flanagan* on piano, Sam Jones on bass, Art Taylor on drums, Buck Clark and Danny Barrajanos* on conga. SIDE A: THE NITTY GRITTY; ALL I DO IS DREAM OF YOU; GHOST OF A CHANCE and EXACTLY LIKE YOU. SIDE B: WALKIN’; SOFTLY, AS IN A MORNING SUNRISE; FAST RIDE* and THE SHY ONE. The initials “RVG” are stamped on the blank vinyl on both sides of the LP. This is a MONO recording.
I have graded both the LP and the record jacket as M_ for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides of the LP is clear of any marks. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The vinyl retains its original luster. The record jacket is in near mint condition, with no signs of wear. There is a circled “C” on the liner notes, from the original store.
