Description

Up for auction is Boite a Musique 18 & 19, two 12-inch 78rpm discs, French pressings .

sides 1 to 3:
Ars Rediviva (2 violins, cello & hparsichord):
Sonata en Re Mineur, by Bach (complete on 3 sides)

side 4:
Ars Rediviva & Jacques Bastard (baritone):
Deux airs, by Heinrich Albert.

Set comes with a flyer/program for a concert given by Ars Rediviva in 1937,
which included the music on these records.

Condition: discs are in nice E+ condition. two of the labels have stickers.
Concert program is a bit worn and discolored, but is otherwise in decent condition.

Grading scale: N, E, VG, G (+ or - signs will modify the basic grade for slightly better or worse).

Shipping: shellac 78s are placed between squares of cardboard, bound with tape, then floated in styrofoam in the box.
This method of packing has proved very effective over the years for safely shipping fragile shellac 78s.
