Welcome To Subterranean Records
As some of you may know, after 17+ years of doing business in New York City we were forced to close our retail shop on February 1st, 2008. Due to insane increases in rents in our area we decided not to re-open but rather sell the remaining stock from our shop here on eBay's pages. There will be some exceptionally rare items from both our shop and my own personal collection.
Item: Rare original Blue Note 4004 vinyl LP of "Holiday For Skins" Volume 1. This is an original first pressing on the 47 W. 63rd St. label . It's deep groove on both sides with rvg stamp and the "ear" logo in the trail off. There's no ® trade mark symbol after Blue Note on either side of the label. The vinyl is VG++ with a few very minor surface blemishes which are the only things which keep this from being near mint. These blamishes have no affect on the performance or fidelity of the LP. There's lots of gloss to the vinyl as well. There's no seam splitting or spine wear on the laminated cover. The front has no ring wear or writing. There's a small price sticker stain which can be removed if desired with a little dab of lighter fluid. The right entrance side edge has a few dings. The back cover has June 27, 1959 written in blue ink on the middle top, otherwise there's some ultra light shelf wear only.
