ART BLAKEY Jazz Messengers BLUE NOTE LP 4016 w63 NYC DG
Hello and Thanks for Choosing my Auction.
Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers - At The Jazz Corner Of The World Vol 2 Blue Note BLP 4016 47 W63rd NYC DG with RVG in Matrix.
Features Lee Morgan,Hank Mobley,Bobby Timmons and Jymie Merritt with Art Blakey.
The Cover has some wear to lower spine and a touch at upper left corner, some dicoloration on back cover bottom.Overall shows good color, has no writing and is generally intact.
The record has nice sheen and shows several light marks. No deep scratches! The record plays through with no skips.Plays with even surface noise. No loud pops or crackling stood out.A very pleasurable listen.
On a personal note:The first song on this "Chicken an' Dumplins" is fantasic!I usually don't give editorials, but this might be one of the smoothest jazz dittys I ever heard.
Overall this is a nice copy of a very hard to find record!
Please see photos for additional info and song titles.
Please check my other auctions for additional very rare Jazz Goodies that I will be listing over the next few weeks!Original Prestige and Blue Note including the very rare early Prestige gem "Conception" which includes tracks with Miles Davis,Sonny Rollins,Stan Getz, Jerry Mulligan, Zoot Sims and Lee Konitz!!!
