Description

For sale is the ART HARRIS TRIO's "Jazz Goes To Post-Graduate School," on Kapp Records KL-1015, MONO, DG, 1956.
SOUND: VG+/NM It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Side A sounds very nice, with a touch of routine, soft surface noise. Still, a fine playback and all you would expect from a VG+ record. Side B plays near-perfectly! The only flaw is about 6 soft tics in B4, "There's A Small Hotel." Otherwise, side B is entirely crisp and clean.
VINYL: VG+ or better The vinyl on both sides looks to be in very clean condition with no scuffs to speak of. There is a small mark on side B that corresponds to a few soft tics in the playback. The deep-grooved, maroon/silver Kapp labels are lovely and clean.
JACKET: VG+ The edges and spine are solid all-around, with a little bit of flaking around the top upper left. The 4 corners are nice. Front and back covers are clean, unmarked, in very nice condition.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A nice copy that plays very well, very nice vinyl and jacket too. Buy-it-now for $24.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
