This is an ORIGINAL and rare SOUTH AFRICA 1st Press of ART's classic first and only 12" LP called ' SUPERNATURAL FAIRY TALES ' - released originally in 1967 in the UK on PINK ISLAND and then re-released again in 1969. At the same time it was released for the first and only time in South Africa on the FONTANA LABEL on thich heavyweight vinyl - where at the time it sold in very small quantities. As a result these ORIGINAL SOUTH AFRICAN FONTANA pressings are immensly rare !
Visually graded under a 100W light source the vinyl retains EXCELLENT MINUS glossy sheen - with very few visible marks, just a few fine hairlines and the odd rub and visual blemish.
But overall there is actually very little surface noise audible during playback at all.
Both sides have been PLAY GRADED.
Side 1 is graded - EXCELLENT
Side 2 is graded - EXCELLENT MINUS
The BLACK & SILVER FONTANA record labels are graded EXCELLENT MINUS - with some minor visible spindle wear.
The thin card FULLY LAMINATED, FLIPBACK PICTURE sleeve is graded VERY GOOD PLUS - with laminate creasing and edgewear, including some feathering to the opening edge. But no splits and no writing etc and the spine remains legible.
A rare PSYCH Lp from the late 1960's and here in its RARE 1st PRESS SOUTH AFRICA format on FONTANA.
