For auction is ARTHUR TAYLOR's "Taylor's Tenors," on New Jazz NJLP 8219, MONO, DG, RVG, 1959. With Charlie Rouse, Frank Foster, Sam Jones and Walter Davis.

SOUND: NM-

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, an outstanding playback and thoroughly enjoyable with bright, crisp sound! That said, there is faint surface noise with a tiny tic audible here and there... if you strain to hear it. Otherwise, just brilliant! 

VINYL: VG+ or better

Side A is awesome! Under bright light, there might be a few tiny, faint, scuffs... but totally superficial! Side B is the same, with one tiny, slightly feel-able mark in B2, "Fidel." I was listening closely as I could, but honestly didn't hear any particular effect. But, this single tiny mark brings the grade down to only VG+ (would be NM otherwise.)  This is on purple New Jazz labels with deep-grooves. The labels are in very, very nice condition. "RVG" stamps in dead wax both sides.

JACKET: VG+/NM-

The edges and spine are solid and excellent condition, except for the lower 1-inch of spine, which is frayed to the corner. The 2 left-hand corners have some bumping/fraying, the 2 right ones are very nice. The front cover is clean and is in excellent condition. The back is quite clean and bright, with a "promo" stamp" as well as "property of" in pen. Overall beautiful jacket on this 60-year old record!

You will bop your socks off to this record! Not perfect, but overall amazing condition, righteous playback! No reserve, bidding starts at $100.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
