ARTURO DELMONI Sonatas Of Franck And Fauré
Meg Bachman, Piano
New And sealed Vinyl Record
Record Label: North Star DS 0015
Extremely rare signed, limited "artist's" edition from North Star Records. This is number 951 of 2,000, with certificate signed by Delmoni. On the TAS (The Absolute Sound) List of exceptional recordings.
Record is new and sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation is completely intact. Corners are sharp, spine is straight and colors are vibrant. Parchent style envelope and numbered certificate signed by Delmoni are inside the plastic sleeve and look to be in perfect condition. There is a price sticker on the plastic sleeve (NOT the cover, itself!) on the back cover. Otherwise, no flaws or blemishes. 100% mint.
Review: A successful interpretation of this intense music requires artists who are completely in sympathy with the composer and who can negotiate the music's many technical difficulties. It has found such in Delmoni and Bachman Vas, who are indeed artists of the first rank. Delmoni is tonally secure, his intonation is precise and he balances the conflicting elements of ardor and control perfectly. Bachman Vas knows when to accompany, when to take the lead and when to drive the music along. Her articulation is faultless and she beautifully gauges her dynamic level to the sense of the music. Top recommendation!
