Description
The Ascots: "The Wonder Of It All"/"I Won't Cry" (Blue-Fi 101, US 1966)
Even after their story was told in Ugly Things #27 in 2008, both sides of this fabulous garage 45 are still uncomped in spite of its high quality. This is the original release, which was quickly withdrawn. The second pressing replaced "I Won't Cry" with "Summer Days", which at least was comped on Fuzz, Flaykes & Shakes. All three songs have a similar folk-punk vibe and are really evocative of the summer of 1966 around Hollywood and LA.
Condition: The record is a styrene pressing mastered by Monarch in Los Angeles (? 62241). There are no deep scratches, just some scuffing, but it does not affect play. Both sides play with a very small amount of noise.
Payment methods: PayPal only!
Postage costs: US$7 worldwide, first class (air mail). Not US$4 to the United States, as eBay requires me to state! Carefully packed in new bubble bag with cardboard stiffeners inside. If you win more than one of the singles and EPs in my auctions, I will combine the postage - it's the same, $7, no matter how many records are sent to the same address.
