CONDITION

During my 45 years' experience of handling vinyl records, I have learnt that the grading of these discs solely by a visual inspection is frequently inadequate and unreliable. Every record that I offer for auction on EBAY has therefore been fully and attentively test played, just prior to being listed, using my 'Project' turntable with 'Ortofon' cartridge.  

All of this ensures that when you purchase vinyl records from me you will not experience any unpleasant surprises on playback; a full description of the condition follows:

The records are in superb 'excellent', or possibly even 'excellent plus' condition. The surfaces are noticeably silent. The vinyl has a good sheen, and looks clean and pristine. The quality of the recording is most impressive with a huge dynamic range.

ASD 2376 is very slightly dished, no doubt having left the factory in this condition. However this is not immediately obvious and it does not in anyway affect the reproduction. Both sides have five or six isolated non-consecutive ticks, and in addition the second side has two consecutive ticks . It is possible that these may be dust related and so could possibly disappear with further playing and/or cleaning.

ASD 2377 has five faint non-sounding scuffs visible on the first side. Both sides have five or six isolated non-consecutive ticks. In addition the final two minutes of the first side have intermittent very light crackle; this is at the end of the Symphony. It is possible that some of these issues may be dust related and so could possibly disappear with further playing and/or cleaning.

There are no spindle trails visible on any of the labels, which look pristine.

The box is in 'excellent plus' condition with no damage, but with slight storage wear. The pickup information label on the inside of the box has been written on; please see the scan. 

PACKAGING

The records will be supplied in Japanese anti-static inner sleeves; the original inner sleeves will also be supplied.

The box and records will be enclosed in a purpose-made record mailer. The mailer will be covered with a substantial amount of bubble wrap and enclosed in a rigid and robust outer box which is 65 mm deep. All of this ensures that the records will arrive safely and in good condition.

It is my policy to use only those Royal Mail Services which require a signature upon delivery, and in addition provide for levels of compensation, should these be necessary in the event of loss or damage during transit.

Postage costs will be combined for multiple purchases where appropriate.

RETURNS POLICY

I operate a no-quibble returns policy so that if you are in anyway dissatisfied with the item, and it is returned to me within 14 days of receipt, I will refund the full purchase price (including postage costs). The cost of the return postage and any insurance would though be the responsibility of the purchaser. If however you believe that my description of the item is inaccurate, I will also refund the cost of the return postage.
