ASD 3483 Ida HAENDEL Britten/Walton VIOLIN Concertos RECORD & COVER ALMOST MINT
This is one of a number of vinyl records from the 1950’s & 60’s listed this week which we no longer listen to. Little played, the records are still in very good condition, the covers sometimes less so.
Gradings are based on the “Record Collector Magazine's Guide” set out in the eBay Guides together with notes about condition added. Extracts from the Gramophone Magazine review written at the time of the record’s release are included, with the permission of the publishers, where these are available.
RECORD GRADING
EXCELLENT +++
I really don’t think this record has ever been played - until now. It is in outstanding condition and plays superbly. I never grade a record as Mint but this one really does tempt me to do so.
Both surfaces gleam and there are no marks of any kind anywhere on them, or on the disc labels. Both sides play with no unwanted sounds at all, and there is no surface sound either. The sound quality is excellent
COVER GRADING
EXCELLENT
No damage. No marks, just a shade of age related discolouration and very slight soiling of the back
This truly is a ‘Collectors Copy’ of a much sought after recording by this wonderfully gifted violinist

MINT
Record In brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality Cover In perfect condition, as are extra items such as thelyric sheet, booklet or poster EXCELLENT Record Shows signs of having been played, but with very little lessening in sound quality Cover Slight wear and / or creasing to the cover or its contents VERY GOOD Record Obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch Cover Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects GOOD Record Played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, and there may be some distortion and mild scratches Cover Suffers from folding, scuffed edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
