Description

For auction is this ORIGINAL first STEREO pressing of "Symphonie Fantastique" by Berlioz. Released on HMV Records Cat. No. ASD 399, released in 1961 The record is in stunning condition, the labels are also excellent, save for an ink mark on the label of side 1(See Photo). The record plays through perfectly with very little noise, and has a fantastic sound. There is very little if any signs of use on this record, it is a truly superb copy. The sleeve is in near mint condition, it still has the original EMI stereo gold and red sticker. The rear of the sleeve is clean and white, with sleevenotes by David Drew. The spine is perfect, as new. This is a superb recording by the Orchestre National de la Radiodiffusion Francaise, conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham. Offered at a low starting price and no reserve this highly collectable, and superb vintage vinyl record, will truly not dissapoint any potential purchaser.
