Description

ASIA - 12” Album VINYL PICTURE DISC UK GEF 11-85577

ASIA - ONLY TIME WILL TELL 7" VINYL PICTURE DISC UK GEF 11-2228.

I have had these from new, and each was only played 6-8 times.

So would say there in Excellent condition

The Album is rare, I remember the guy at HMV saying that there was only 1000 copies, not sure if that is true but I got one.

The single is a bit more common so the price is normal around £8

Will post 2nd Class

Asia is the self-titled debut studio album by English rock band Asia, released in 1982. According to both Billboard and Cashbox, it was the #1 album in the United States for the year 1982.[1] and 11 in the UK charts, It contains their biggest hit "Heat of the Moment", which reached #4 in the US on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.[2]

Artwork

Asia's logo and cover artwork were created by Roger Dean, known for his work with Yes (of which guitarist Steve Howe and keyboard player Geoff Downes are currently members) and Uriah Heep (of which bassist/vocalist John Wetton had previously been a member). The debut alum's art depicts a sea serpent gazing into a crystal orb.

There was a concern that having Dean do the cover would produce something that looked too much like his famed artwork for Yes, but Howe and Downes pushed for his involvement. Geffen's John Kalodner did not initially like Dean's logo for the band. Info by wikipedia
