Description

Here's a gem and another genuine sought after rarity. This is the first of two albums released by the Afro prog/psych band Assagai. Very cool stuff and much sought after. Assagai was an Afro-rock band from South Africa, active in the early 1970's in London. It consisted of five members: Louis Moholo, Mongezi Feza, Bizo Muggikana, Fred Coker, and Dudu Pukwana. Their second and final album, Zimbabwe, was released later in 1971. The album was re-released as LP by Music for Pleasure label, but under a different title, AfroRock.
COVER: Only real flaw is a 2.5com crack in the sam left which is actually split for about 1.5cm. This is the ultra rare original gatefold sleeve pressing where the record is actually stored throughan entry to the left on the inner right panel rather than as normal where it goes in on the right.VG+
VINYL: Near mint (NM) - light mark or hairline here or there.
Vertigo 6360030, original pressing - this is the swirl label that is white with the smaller swirl at the top on both sides.
