AT WAR

Ordered To Kill

Original US Limited Edition Clear Vinyl LP released on New Renaissance Records in 1986.

After one demo AT WAR gained first attention with the two songs “Rapechase” and “Eat Lead”, featured on the "Speed Metal Hell" compilations. 1986 New Renaissance Records released the debut "Ordered To Kill".

Musically it contained solid Speed/Thrash Metal with a lot of MOTÖRHEAD influences. They did not break any speed records but they were fast. Variety was lacking, brutality, though, they had galore. War, death and a bit of violent sex were the lyrical domains of the band. One problem was the use of the Adolf Hitler speech at the beginning of the otherwise great Thrasher "Ilsa (She-Wolf Of The SS)", but other companies already had problems with that in the past, such as CARNIVORE or TAROT. The song was inspired by a cult movie. Other than that the title song and the a bit WHIPLASH-like “Rapechase” can convince the listener.

And the MOTÖRHEAD cover "The Hammer" also is performed well, so if you don't expect any innovations and have a lust for straight “full force ahead” Metal, you should consider a purchase.

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
