Description

Auction to help Jah Stitch - 4 Record Lot of Original Jah Stitch 45s

Veteran DJ Jah Stitch, one of the greatest and heaviest roots reggae chanters of the 1970s (who later became selector for Sugar Minott's Youth Promotion sound system) will soon be undergoing heart surgery. He needs blood pressure medication to stay alive, but is short on funds, and has had to put all his performer's rights payments toward the hospital.

Noted reggae writer/photographer Beth Lesser has set up a fund to help Jah Stitch. Full details can be found at:
http://whocorkthedance.blogspot.com/

ALL PROFITS FROM THIS AUCTION WILL BE DONATED TOWARD THIS FUND.

The 45s up for auction are:

JA Woman/version (Perpetual Sounds, NY - version of `70s Gypsy Woman cut) (M-)

Strictly Rockers/version (a.k.a. Black Harmony Killer - I believe this is his first record) (Prophets Ja. - version of Bunny Lee cut of Just Say Who by Horace Andy) (EX+)

Sugar Dandy/version (Penguin UK - version of Bunny Lee/Johnny Clarke cut of I'm still in Love With You) (Mint)

The Killer/version (Clocktower NY - WICKED cut to Cornell Campbell - Please Be True, prod. by Bunny Lee) (M-)

PLEASE NOTE: As this is an auction to help out Jah Stitch, returns will not be accepted for this lot of records. However, I have played them all the way through, they come from my personal collection and are in great shape.

REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL ORDERS OVER $100 (and highly recommended for international orders under $100)

INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION RATE: $10.80 (in addition to regular postal charges) PER PACKAGE (provides insurance, tracking and signature for delivery) ....... Regular insurance (slightly cheaper but probably not as secure as registration) also available for international shipments under $100, but all insured or registered international shipments must have their customs valued declared at the same amount that they are insured for. If you have any concerns or questions about this, please email me before bidding.
