 Just a word of caution when comparing this to other copies. Many sellers pass the second press with A//2 and B//2 matrices off as a first press. This album is barely found with the proper first press matrices as is the case for this sublime copy. Also only the proper first press would have the TEXTURED labels. This one weighs in at a whopping 141 grammes.

Audience on this album come across much like Charisma Records' answer to Family - a psych-prog band with a vocalist with a distinctive and energetic style. Musically speaking, Audience have much more jazz and folk influence than early Family, but Werth's powerful delivery really does put me in mind of Roger Chapman's vocal mannerisms. It's a good match to the music, which manages to get far darker and heavier than you'd expect psych folk-jazz to get - especially on the menacing and accusatory Priestess. Audience seem to be comparatively forgotten compared with other Charisma stalwarts like Genesis, Van der Graaf Generator, or even Rare Bird  and this is a real shame; they certainly deserve recognition for their contributions to early prog. 

So, so hard to find, Audience's second album. I am very happy to be able to present this fantastic and ULTRA rare album as a proper first press. This will be a great first acquisition and a top copy for the discerning prog collector!!! The vinyl looks barely played and is in top condition.

 IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THIS TURNS UP AGAIN IN THIS SPLENDID CONDITION WITH AGAIN MORE TAKERS THAN EVER BEFORE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT PIECE.

I AM OFFERING ANOTHER HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER PROG / PSYCH ROCK VINYL LP RARITY FROM MY COLLECTION OF SIMILAR ITEMS !! A FANTASTIC ALBUM BY MONUMENT,  GREAT CREATIVE MUSICIANSHIP, BUT MOST CERTAINLY NOT TO EVERYONE'S TASTE . A MUST FOR ANY PROG COLLECTOR.

Vinyl: EX.  Looks barely played at all!! Barely any spindle traces.The audio is fantastic and this vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went largely unnoticed with poor distribution. Only a few hundred were ever pressed up on this textured label. The audio has beautiful separation and there is barely any background noise. I played this twice in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are no marks and just two of the shallowest hairlines which are really just paper retraction lines hairlines. Under a strong light source a few light wispy paper retraction traces are visible. In normal daylight it looks totally flawless. There is a faint catalogue number written on the labels in red. It is hardly visible because red ink barely shows on the pink label. Played in full on my Linn Sondek/ Rotel/B&W set-up. Needless to say NO jumps, sticks, clicks or ticks. The audio of this recording is simply outstanding and will be an upgrade to most collectors. Wow!!

  Sleeve: EX to EX+. Matt "E.J. Day Group" gatefold sleeve without any damage or creases. An ultra vulnerable matt sleeve which would be hard to find in any condition at all. I have come across this album three times in 30 years. It is indeed ultra rare. This copy is the best by far.  The spine is still 100% and the opening is super crisp. Remarkably there is barely any edge wear. It must be impossible to find this album in such great condition. The inside gatefold has all credits and lyrics printed . There is a small nick towards the top. B&C credits on the inside gatefold as only the first press has. NO writing, NO splits, NO tears etc. The pictures tell all.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. The chance of finding this album in any condition at all is negligible so late in the day. Finding it in this splendid condition will prove nearly impossible!! Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
