AUDIOPHILE Athena Stravinsky Petruska with Ansermet Search

Famous Audiophile 1991 Athena Master Pressing limited addition (#000277) 100% virgin vinyl of L'Orchestre De La Suisse Romande with Ernest Ansermet from 1957.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Highly regarded audiophile  vinyl from a company featuring "No Digital" in their philosophy. The original taping was in Victoria Hall in Geneva in 1957, and Decca engineers led by Roy Wallace set up a 'tree' with three Neumann KM-56 Microphones and routed through a three channel vacuum tube mixer without noise processing, gain riding, compression, limiting, external equalization, or filtering. I believe this to be 180 gram, and includes the special inner cardboard protection, XLO insert, and Athena Master Recordings listings insert. This LP was only available through audio dealers and mail order back in 1991.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   "Stavinsky's ballet masterpiece conducted by Maestro Ansermet (a close friend of the composer) is the all time finest stereo performance of this work to ever be recorded to tape. The 1957 Decca/UK engineering team captured every nuance of the orchestra and the exact reverberations response from the walls of Victoria Hall in Geneva. Rightfully, the original London CS-6009  release is on the hit list of every audio magazine. For the first time ever, this reissue on Athena brings to vinyl a remastering without bass blending by the mastering engineer. The stereo integrity of the original master tapes is preserved throughout the audio spectrum.
